Wow. I went to see Remember Me today, thinking it was going to be this cute little love story with a happy ending. Was I ever wrong. I have to admit I wanted to see it because of RPatz being in it, but the story is what struck me more than the actors. Just when you think it is predictable, there are surprise twists to the story.
Here I said I was going to keep up with my blog this year, and so far, I lied, I guess. I think I was just trying to get through the winter time, and yay!, spring is right around the corner. We have to set our clocks ahead this weekend to spring forward. I prefer to fall back.
I'm so glad race season is over. And I'm grateful that everyone is home safe again.

Eagle River 2010
We are back from Eagle River, Wisconsin, after Joel and Mitch competed at the World Championship snowmobile races. Mitch took a little tumble on his sled into the hay bales, and with damage to the sled, he was done for the weekend. Joel made it into the final race on Sunday, but also had a mishap on the last lap of the race. They are both okay, though, and we are all home again, safe and sound! Glad to be back home.

New Friends and Old Friends
Friday night I went to my first book club meeting that my friend Traci invited me to. I enjoyed meeting some new people and discussing the book we had all read. Firefly Lane by Kristen Hannah.
On Saturday I went to a high school get together in Davison, and chatted with friends I graduated with way back in 1975! It's fun to catch up and see what everyone is doing now. It sure brings back a lot of memories.

Annual Movie Day Tradition
Went to the movies yesterday with my Mom, and my sisters' Bonnie and Judy for our annual New Year's Day movie tradition. We have been going every year for over ten years now. We saw three movies: 1) It's Complicated--so good I'm going to see it again. It's so funny. 2) The Blindside--I had already seen this one, but they had not, and it was just as good the second time around. Excellent movie! 3) Up In The Air--I liked it, but this one is probably not for everyone. So now I have to MOVE today, since I sat so much yesterday! I love going to movies, and I'm glad we have kept this tradition going. When it started my guys were all at home watching football all day on New Years Day, so I just had to get out of there!

New Year, New Decade, New Word
Each year I choose a new word to focus on. For 2010, my word is STORY. This year I want to finish the stories I have been working on, and write about old and new stories that are meaningful to me. My goal is to have something that I have written be published.
I never keep my new year's resolutions, so I am going to set goals instead.
I intend to spend more time with my writing.
I intend to eat healthier, and exercise more.
I intend to declutter my house in 2010!

2009 Wrap Up
I'm back to wrap up the year, even though I hardly posted anything! I vow to be a better blogger in 2010!
Here is what was meaningful to me in 2009 (in random order!):
A safe race season; caring doctors; wonderful neighbors; elementary school children in a talent show; spending extra alone time with my grandson, and allowing him to drive me around in the golf cart (he's an excellent driver for a five year old!); preschool graduation; swimming in the pool; time spent up north; new babies being born; three beautiful granddaughters, each so unique in their own way; homemade gifts for birthdays; three sons I am extremely proud of, and their beautiful wives and girlfriends; thirty-four years of loving each other; annual zoo trip with Grandma Dear; scrapbook friends; Facebook friends; Morgan's dance recital; Marnie's sports; Nicole and Bryce's t-ball games; The Twilight Saga!; going to see New Moon with the gals at midnight; A Dream Come True: Our trip to Disney World with the whole family! So much fun!; Bryce fighting Darth Vader and using the force!; Nicole and Morgan dressed up like beautiful princesses; the girls having breakfast together inside Cinderella's Castle!"; parades!; smelling the bathroom wall-LOL!; Mitch and his band, Mindflaw--they rock!; catching up with friends from high school; celebrating Christmas; Faith.
